Nightwind Jazz Ensembles

Nightwind Jazz Ensembles can be tailored to meet your specific needs. The groups are lead by bassist Lauran Hunt, a performer and educator with over 25 years of experience. If you want a jazz group for your special event Nightwind will be a perfect choice. Be it a reception, dinner or party, Nightwind will provide the music to set the right tone for your guests. Featuring some of the best talent in the Atlanta area,.the group can perform as a duo, trio, quartet or quintet, depending on the needs of your event. We will be happy to assist you in finding just the right combination of Nightwind for your special event.

The standard Nightwind group is the piano trio (piano, bass and drumset). Featuring Gene Howell on piano, the group performs jazz in the style of Bill Evans and Oscar Petersen. With the interplay of the bass and drums, we feel you will love this group for you event.

A variation on the trio theme is the Guitar Trio (guitar, bass and drumset). Featuring Mark Haynes or Lamar Cannon on guitar, this group is great if you want something slightly different for your event.

If you have a limited budget or are looking for something more intimate, you might want to try the Guitar/Bass Duo. This is a Nightwind favorite, because of the interplay between the two instruments.
